What is the consistent message you want to share that instantly communicates what you do, who you help and why they should work with you? This is what I call your Magical Marketing Message, and it’s the foundation for all of your marketing and communications.
Your Magical Marketing Message is what instantly attracts your ideal clients. It’s also what makes all your marketing and communications efforts consistent. So every time you leave a social media comment, or write an article, or leave a comment on someone’s blog, you have this clear message that is congruent with everything about you and your business.
In addition to your Magical Marketing Message, you want to create 3 core messages that you communicate consistently. They should reflect the results you help people acheive and what’s unique about you and what you do. They let people understand what you’re all about and make you memorable.
For instance, here are my 3 core messages:
1. You need to have a strategic foundation for your business. Without that, you will spin your wheels and burn out. And at the heart of that strategic foundation is your niche.
2. Your niche is not just a slice of your target market, but who you help, what solution you provide and why people should work with you. It’s what I call the Niche Puzzle and it’s a much more comprehensive way of finding your niche so you can build a business that is sustainable, that you’re passionate about and that leverages your unique gift.
3. I have a gift for taking a lot of information and overwhelm and creating step-by-step systems that include training plus implementation. You need both training and action to get results, and I incorporate both in every program that I create.
Now it’s your turn. What are your core messages that you want people to know about you? Leave your comments and questions below. Share your core messages so that people can get to know you.

Cindy! Speaking as someone who has advised and nurtured many Fortune 500 brands on Madison Avenue, you definitely have THE GIFT for simplifying entrepreneur overwhelm and laying success out into clear, easy-to-follow steps!
Your 3 Core Messages are right on target and (especially your Niche Puzzle as it applies to one’s Unique Gift) and I often refer to your marketing insights in my blogs. Really looking forward to your new program!
That is high praise coming from the Personal Branding Expert! Thank you Al. I appreciate you:)
Cindy, this is a great marketing tool! I’m refining my marketing messages so these are my initial thoughts. Since I deal with individuals and their money, my first message would be that by working with me you can expect respect, integrity and no judgement. All the information you share with me is personal and confidential. The second message would be by working with me you will gain clarity around your finances, whether business or personal, and that will bring peace of mind and clarity to other areas of your life. Third message is that you need to have a system to manage your money effectively that will bring freedom and control to your life. Without an effective system, you will find yourself working harder than you should and not understanding where the money is going.
Still refining, but working on it
Fantastic Lisa! Thank you for sharing. Regarding the third point, I would love to see something about how you help people create simple systems. It’s one thing to tell people they need systems, and other to let them know that you are the one to help them create these systems.
I also know that helping people manage their mindset around money is an important part of your brand. Where does that fit in with your core marketing messages?
Remember that your core messages should reflect and reinforce your Magical Marketing Message. That is the starting point for all your marketing and communications.
Thanks Lisa!
Thank you Al. That is high praise coming from the Personal Branding Expert! I appreciate you:)
Thank you Cindy. You definitely have my loyalty as an appreciative customer. The value and effectiveness of your offerings continue to flow generously. I haven’t bitten into the 3 core messages yet. But here’s a shot from the hip:
(for your reader’s context, I’m a recovery coach who helps young creative individuals learn to thrive beyond recovery.)
1) Life beyond recovery is about creating an entirely new life, not just “quitting” a habit or an addiction. Otherwise, the structure of your old life will eventually drag you back into abuse.
2) Creating a new life is not just about rearranging the scenery. It also requires that you update your mental and emotional operating system to handle the demands and challenges of your life in a healthy way, so you can actually feel good about yourself, become more fully yourself and thrive.
3) In addition to my personal experience of overcoming abuse and reprogramming myself for health and success, I provide a powerful combination of mentoring, coaching and cutting edge transformation tools that engage your creative abilities and make your recovery more efficient and enjoyable.
Or something like that!
Thank you so much Jason and congratulations on all the clarity and progress you’ve achieved.
I like your core messages. I especially like the first one. With the second, you have to be careful not to use jargon or language that doesn’t connect with your target market. I’m not sure what you mean by “mental and emotional operating system”. Consider tweaking that. I love how you’ve put the outcome or result in there.
For the third one, I love how you share your personal story. The “coaching, mentoring and cutting edge transformation tools” is about process. I think it would be more powerful to talk about a system you’ve created. You can name it and share what makes it unique and powerful.
Thank you so much for sharing. Great job!!!
warm wishes,
Cindy
Hi Cindy, I am new to your content, and eager to learn more from you soooo will give it a go. Three core messages for me in my niche slice of – mature women without a man in their financial picture and who want secure housing ie. how to buy your first home. The first message is how to narrow down and identify what you want as a series of goals or stepping stones. In other words be realistic. The second is – treat money as a friend which includes getting comfortable with good debt. The third would be cultivate an absolute resolve to not settle for anything less.
Love to receive your comments Cindy
oh another is – how to build on what money you have and make it work harder and smarter ‘
bye

Hi Jen,
Thanks for sharing and playing:) Your messages sound fine but what I wonder about is your actual niche. Mature women who want to secure housing, e.g. buy their first house is what you mentioned. First of all, I wonder how many mature, single women are buying their first house. And secondly, can they afford your services?
Thanks Cindy!
As usual, great feedback! Most of these points will become more clear as I collect responses to my first survey and begin to develop the solutions based on the results.
It’s all so much fun!
Fantastic Jason – I shared some feedback on the private Q&A call today about your survey. You can find the recording on Your Clear Path to Ideal Clients Member Forum. I’ll also send an email with the recording. Thanks!
